When I close my eyes at night, sometimes there's someone there that I can't get out of my head. Why is she so like a drug, where she did so little for me, but I'd have done everything within my mortal power for her, that I can't stop seeing her. Maybe it's more the idea than the person, maybe it's more the person than the idea. Was the feeling just of someone, or was it her which made it unique. Why, if she disappeared when I actually needed her for once, let me down when I needed her close, am I still in love with her?

...Am I even? Or is is just heartache and loneliness where something very dear to me used to be....


Memories are like the waves of the ocean, they will come and go, suddenly appearing and lingering just a moment, then ebbing away into conformity with the rest of the ocean. They are like the ripples in a pond, only a small stone is needed to unleash waves of forgotten feelings.

Every person must know these feelings, "I'm so much better off without you, doing so much more, using my time and life better.. but why does it still feel like my chest is empty and my eyes are swollen when I think about you?"

Why does it feel like the world is dead because I won't get to hold you again.



I hate nights like these.
